I find it so strange when I feel I need to ask for the manager to praise their good service when I leave, because it's so rare to deliver compliments, and I know it scares the waitstaff when I do. I assure them every time I do that it's for praise on their service. I also embarrass my kids each time I do this. Are we conditioned to accept poor service, just okay food, and unreasonable pricing as our norm? The answer is NO! And, the delivery of compliments to others is how I like to "lead by example" in the area of generosity and praise for good work and value to my teen/tween, so it's an all-around win.
