The Last of Us Part II Fan Creates Outrageously Detailed Pumpkin Carving
One The Last of Us Part II fan has shared her pumpkin creation based on the game.
Naughty Dog, the developer of The Last of Us, featured @wunderkins' pumpkin carving of an interaction between Ellie and Dina. The spooky gourd features Dina saying the memorable line, "Oh Ellie, I think they should be terrified of you," after Ellie doubts she poses an actual threat. The Halloween-themed illustration precisely captures the expressions on Dina and Ellie's faces.

On Naughty Dog's Twitter, the studio occasionally features artwork or cosplay done by fans based on their games. Content creators can send in their submissions using the form on Tumblr, which Naughty Dog included a link to in its tweet. Past content featured includes an Uncharted tattoo and Last of Us paintings.
The Artist Excels in Using Pumpkins as Their Medium
wunderkins' The Last of Us Part II-themed pumpkin wasn't her first rodeo with the Halloween gourd, hence her Twitter username. In the past, the skilled artist has created pumpkins featuring scenes from Coraline and The Nightmare Before Christmas. After Naughty Dog posted her recent creation, wunderkins expressed her excitement over the shout-out.
Released in 2020, The Last of Us Part II takes place five years after the original game's events. The post-apocalyptic title follows Ellie and Abby trying to survive in a zombie-infested world. Currently, The Last of Us Part II holds the record for the most Game of the Year awards for its emotionally heavy plotline and beautiful score.
On Oct. 17, HBO offered fans new footage of the upcoming live-action series adaptation of the best-selling game. The cast includes The Mandalorian star Pedro Pascal as Joel and Game of Thrones actor Bella Ramsey as Ellie. Surprisingly, Pascal only played a few minutes of The Last of Us and HBO told Ramsey not to play the title at all. "I was actually encouraged not to. After my first audition, they asked me, 'Have you played it?' And I said 'nope,' and they said, 'Keep it that way," Ramsey said.
The Last of Us Part II is available for the PlayStation 4. The series adaptation will premiere on an undetermined date in 2023.
