Spy x Family, Sailor Moon Crossover Fan Art Turns the Forgers Into Pretty Guardians
Magical fan art combines two beloved anime franchises: Sailor Moon and Spy x Family.
Drawn by artist harajuku.shrimp, the crossover illustration turns the Forger family into Pretty Guardians — except for the handsome patriarch Loid, who takes on the role of Tuxedo Mask. Presented as Sailor Moon, Yor wears Usagi's Super Sailor Moon costume, complete with wing hair clips and red hairpieces that adorn her odango buns. Fan favorite character Anya took on the role of Sailor Chibi Moon. Like Yor, Anya wears red hairpieces on her odango buns. However, hers are smaller and feature a rabbit-ear-like protrusion from the top. As for the family's prophetic pooch, Bond pays homage to Sailor Moon with a crescent moon on his forehead and the Crisis Moon Compact on his bow collar.

Spy x Family Crossovers Are Popular With Fans
This beautiful crossover artwork isn't the first time fans mashed up different anime franchises. Artist ymsk drew a comic showcasing how Loid takes his role as a father seriously, acquiescing to his daughter's request to cosplay Denji from Chainsaw Man. Kiana Mai, the former storyboard artist for Big City Greens, also dabbled in Spy x Family fan art. Her artwork re-imagined Team Rocket as the Forger family, with Jessie portraying Loid Forger, James as Yor's "Thorn Princess" and Meowth as a cheeky "heh"-faced Anya.
Spy x Family follows Twilight, a spy who has to build a family for his mission to maintain peace between rival nations Westalis and Ostania. He takes on the identity of Loid Forger and adopts a four-year-old girl named Anya, a telepath, and marries Yor Briar, an office worker whose job is a cover for her work as the skilled assassin, The Thorn Princess. They later adopt a dog with precognitive abilities and name it Bond, after Anya's favorite television character: Bondman.
Spy x Family began as a manga series written and illustrated by its creator, Tatsuya Endo. The series received biweekly serialization on Shueisha's Shōnen Jump+ app and website starting in March 2019. As of October 2022, ten tankōbon volumes are available, composed of consolidated chapters. With over 27 million copies in circulation, the series is one of the best-selling manga series of all time. Its success led to it receiving a TV anime adaptation by Wit Studio and CloverWorks in April 2022. The second half of the series' first season premiered earlier this month on Oct. 1. In addition to its manga and anime series, Spy x Family also has a light novel titled "Spy x Family: Family's Portrait" written by Aya Yajima, and a musical adaptation "Musical Spy x Family," which will premiere in March 2023.
Spy x Family's second cour currently airs every Saturday on Crunchyroll and Hulu.
