A new trailer for Jujutsu Kaisen: Phantom Parade revealed the upcoming mobile RPG game will release in 2023 — pushed back from a 2022 launch.

As reported by Anime News Network, Jujutsu Kaisen: Phantom Parade was delayed by developers to "further improve the quality" of the game. Phantom Parade will follow first-year students Saki, Kaito and Kensuke. The students attend the Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School's Fukuoka branch. Kensuke also serves as the school's student body president. In addition to the students mentioned earlier, Yūji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, Nobara Kugisaki, Satoru Gojō, and Kento Nanami will also appear in the game. The game will use a free-to-play model but also offer in-app purchases.

Singer Eve performs the game's theme song, "Avant," which they also composed. Eve previously sang the anime's theme song, "Kaikai Kitan." Sumzap Co, Ltd. and Toho Co., Ltd, were in charge of planning and production. Sumzap also handled development and operations.

Jujutsu Kaisen is a manga series written and illustrated by Gege Akutami. It follows the story of high school student Yūji Itadori after being cursed by Ryomen Sukuna, the King of Curses. Itadori joins a secret organization of Jujutsu Sorcerers to free himself from the evil plaguing him. The manga received serialization in Weekly Shōnen Jump from March 2018, with its chapters later consolidated for publication in 20 tankōbon volumes. Shonen Jump serialized the prequel series Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School before collecting it in a tankōbon book titled Jujutsu Kaisen 0 in 2018. The series received two novels by Ballad Kitaguni, published in 2019 and 2020. It also went on to receive a TV anime adaptation by MAPPA, which aired on MBS from October 2020 to March 2021. Crunchyroll streamed the anime outside of Asia and premiered an English dub in November 2020.

JJK Season 2 Will Air in Two Cours

Jujutsu Kaisen's MAPPA-produced first season won a number of awards, including Anime of the Year, Best Antagonist and Best Ending Sequence at the 5th Crunchyroll Anime Awards. The anime also won Best TV Anime and Best Screenplay at the Newtype Anime Awards. The series' second season will air in 2023 was confirmed earlier this year and will air in 2023, premiering in two cours. Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 will adapt the "Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu" arc and the "Shibuya Incident" arc.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Phantom Parade will launch in spring 2023 for iOS and Android devices. Until the game's release, fans of the series can watch Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1 on Crunchyroll and HBO Max.
