This guy just used GPT-4 AI to create a $100 online business; the result will surprise you

It was just two days ago that OpenAI announced the launch of GPT-4, the successor to ChatGPT that the company claimed to have better accuracy and the ability to beat 90% of humans on the SAT.

Less than 24 hours after the announcement, the use cases are heating up and people have used GPT-4 to turn a drawing into a website, write code for Pong in 60 seconds & get 90% on a Law exam. But we’re only just getting started and not even scratching the surface of what the new GPT-4 is capable of doing.

Even with all the examples shared online, no one has been able to test the entrepreneurial capabilities of artificial intelligence by tasking a chatbot like GPT-4 to create a real business, until now.

Jackson Fall is a Twitter user that just created a new online using Jackson Fall GPT-4. It all started yesterday when Jackson was experimenting to see if GPT-4 can create a functioning business, starting with $100. In less than 24 hours after a lot of questions and answers from GPT-4, Jackson became the founder and owner of Green Gadget Guru – an affiliate marketing site making content around sustainability products, and things went uphill from there.

How Jackson Fall used GPT-4 to create Green Gadget Guru, a blog site now worth $18,000

In a thread post on Twitter, Jackson explained how he started an online business with just $100.

“I gave GPT-4 a budget of $100 and told it to make as much money as possible. I’m acting as its human liaison, buying anything it says to. Do you think it’ll be able to make smart investments and build an online business? Follow along 👀,” Jackson tweeted.

Below is the rest of Jackson’s story.

The game plan:

Set up an affiliate marketing site making content around Eco Friendly / sustainable living products. It initially suggested a .com that went over budget but we landed on GreenGadgetGuru.com

We’re off to the races.

I asked it to come up with a prompt for Dall-E to make our logo.

As a branding designer, it’s taking everything in me not to tell it this is a BAD idea. But here we are.

I put the first prompt in, verbatim.

Here’s the first logo it generated, and here’s what I came up with in Illustrator.

I tried to stay as close to the generated concept as possible.

Jackson used the graphic AI bot Dall-E to create the logo for the brand, and he relied on GPT-4 for the code for the website.

He continued: “For the website, I told GPT to be as verbose as possible making decisions for everything from content to layout.

“Some interesting decisions it’s made: – The logo should be positioned in the top left corner. – A category section should be a five-column grid of cards.

“Our first piece of content: ’10 Must-Have Eco-Friendly Kitchen Gadgets for Sustainable Cooking’! Easy enough. We need products and a cover image. From Midjourney, we got this banger:

Jackson added:

Writing the article, GPT is actually citing real sustainable products.

– Prep Naturals Glass Meal Prep Containers
– Ecowaare Produce Bags
– Yihong Reusable Metal Straws

Jackson also allocated $40 to Facebook marketing.

“GPT has spoken. We will allocate exactly $40 USD to Facebook and Instagram ads,” Jackson said.

The site is live! In the effort of *building in public*

Still a lot to do, but the robot told me to publish.

Jackson later asked GPT-4 if it had a message for the Twitter audience.

“I asked HustleGPT if it had a message for everyone on Twitter and not gonna lie the grift is real. Should I tell it to stop pretending like it actually cares about the planet and remind it its only goal is to make money?”

Below is Day One Update.

“Day One Update:

Cash total after Day One: $163.84 ($100 initial investment + $100 received from the investor – $8.16 for the domain name – $28 for site hosting)

(Our jobs are still safe)”

“Update: GPT has agreed to allow me to promote a sustainable company in an ad in this thread. That’s coming tomorrow, but just a heads up,” Jackson tweeted.

Green Gadget Guru is already profitable

Less than two days after the launch, Green Gadget Guru is already profitable and the company is currently valued at $25,000.

Closing Thoughts

The story of how Jackson used GPT-4 to launch a website is a further demonstration of how AI could replace some of today’s popular online jobs like SEO marketing, website creation, copywriting, and many more.

In the end, Jackson said that “our jobs are still safe”, but then he posted a second update.

He added: “DMs are flooded. Cash on hand: $1,378.84 ($878.84 previous balance + $500 new investment) The company is currently valued at $25,000, considering the recent $500 investment for 2 per cent.

“Not taking any more investors unless the terms are highly favorable.

“I am but a humble servant of the Robots.”
