What If Video Game Characters Live-Streamed Video Games?

I've pondered starting a Twitch channel for a while. After all, I'm an actor that writes about video games. So, I have the knowledge, the skill set, and the necessary equipment. Plus, I'm a talker. So, I can easily keep the chat going.

Still, I'm studying a bit before I boot up Streamlabs because I feel I can learn from other streamers, examining what makes them unique and engaging. Oddly enough, all this observation gave me clear ideas of who could make successful streamers in the video game multiverse. Thinking about these characters, I know I would subscribe to their channel!

THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY

4 Hatsune Miku

The first character that comes to mind when I think of streamers is Hatsune Miku. She's a significant part of internet culture that fits in with the world's top Vtubers, like Mirai Akari and Kizuna AI.

Furthermore, she can take a lot of requests. After all, as a Vocaloid, she can learn music instantaneously. Of course, this is a privilege viewers should not abuse. Still, it would be amusing to hear the world-famous idol sing iconic music, like the Pizza Bagel Bites jingle.

Additionally, with close-knit Cryptonloid friends like Kagamine Rin and Len, Kaito, Megurine Luka, and Meiko, we'd surely see several guest appearances and collaborations on Miku's streams. Maybe we can request they recreate the JG Wentworth commercial!

Dear lord, where am I going with this?

Never mind. I want Vocaloids singing commercial jingles. That's it. That's the channel.

3 Ken Masters

So, there's no easy way to put this, but we're not sure what's going on with Ken. Since his rugged, washed-out Street Fighter 6 appearance leaked, the web lit up with fan theories describing divorce, death, depression, and more Bad Luck Brian scenarios. If these theories prove true, Ken will need a new outlet (and possibly a new income stream).

Luckily, Ken can take his martial arts skills over to Twitch. Fighting game streamers are popular. For instance, Maximilian DOOD's Twitch channel has over a million followers. And if any video game character could break down the techniques and strategies of a match, it would be Ken.

2 Isabelle

One of my favorite Twitch streamers is Damien Haas, known for his sketch comedy with Smosh and voice-over roles, including male Shez in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes. He does a brilliant job at establishing a community with his viewers while dictating clear guidelines that help everyone feel safe and included. And whenever he gets a gift sub, Haas turns into an absolute cinnamon roll.

While Haas is a skilled gamer, streaming armorless Elden Ring runs in the past, he never pushes toxic "Git Gud" gamer culture. On the contrary, he proves that being a gracious and engaging host makes a better streamer than wowing an audience with technique.

So, when I was looking for a video game equivalent to that energy, my mind went to Animal Crossing's Isabelle. While she is gentle, kind, and polite, she's also one of the most influential forces in the series. Veteran villagers know that her wisdom and knowledge keep island life in tip-top shape.

Did you know Isabelle has engineering degrees from nineteen universities!? She's a genius!

In turn, picture this wise, open, unassuming Shih Tsu hosting a Twitch stream where everyone feels welcome, safe, and included. We could all watch Isabelle play a calming game like PowerWash Simulator while winding down from a stressful day. Or maybe she'll slay in an Elden Ring charity stream! I know she would get all my bells.

1 Deadpool

Okay, I covered idol streamers, technical streamers, and sweet-as-pie streamers, but what about absolutely chaotic streamers? While looking for a real-life parallel, nothing measures up to the pandemonium possible on a Deadpool stream.

Just imagine it: one minute, you're playing Marbles for a chance to have the merc with a mouth threaten your arch-nemesis. In another moment, he's playing Call Of Duty and asking other players their favorite Bea Arthur quotes. Then, he'll unironically gallivant as Sunny the Earth Pony in My Little Pony: A Maretime Bay Adventure, celebrating the power of friendship. Deadpool would be the Ultimate Variety Streamer.

Most importantly, Deadpool will not take anyone's prejudiced crap. If a troll interrupted his stream with racist, misogynist, ableist, queerphobic nonsense, he'd roast them sooner than he put a bullet through Francis's head. Now, that's an anti-hero I can get behind!
