Across the Spider-Verse x Nike Collab Will Sell Miles Morales’ Air Jordans
With the release of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse just around the corner, sneakerheads will soon be able to add another pair of Miles Morales-inspired Air Jordans to their Nike collection.
According to zSneakerHeadz, the Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse x Air Jordan 1 High OG sneakers are currently slated to drop in the summer of 2023 (which would coincide with the theatrical premiere of the movie itself) with an expected retail price of $200 USD. The shoes will feature the University Red/Black/White color scheme, with zSneakerHeadz creating a mock-up of what they might look like.

This, of course, would not be the first time Nike has collaborated with Sony and Marvel on an official pair of Jordans inspired by the ones worn by the animated Miles Morales/Spider-Man. Back in 2018, Nike released the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG 'Origin Story' sneakers to celebrate the release of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which marked the Spider-Man of Brooklyn's cinematic debut.
Throughout the Oscar-winning Into the Spider-Verse, Miles can be seen wearing his signature red, black and white Jordans — both as a student at Brooklyn Visions Academy and as the friendly neighborhood wall-crawler. Interestingly, the version of Miles Morales seen in
Insomniac Games' Spider-Man video game universe has slightly different tastes, instead rocking a pair of red and black Adidas.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Releases in Summer 2023
The highly-anticipated sequel to 2018's Into the Spider-Verse, Sony Pictures Animation's Across the Spider-Verse is slated to release in theaters on June 2, 2023. The film will itself be followed up by Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, which is scheduled to hit the big screen less than one year later on March 29, 2024.
2023's Across the Spider-Verse rejoins Miles Morales/Spider-Man following his origin story in Into the Spider-Verse, with Shameik Moore reprising the character's voice. Numerous other members of the first film's voice cast are returning for the sequel as well, including Oscar Isaac as Miguel O'Hara/Spider-Man 2099, Hailee Steinfeld as Gwen Stacy/Spider-Woman, Jake Johnson as Peter B. Parker/Spider-Man, Brian Tyree Henry as Jefferson Davis (Miles' father) and Luna Lauren Vélez as Rio Morales (Miles' mother).
Across the Spider-Verse will also feature a number of newcomers, including Issa Rae as Jessica Drew/Spider-Woman and Jason Schwartzman as the villainous Spot. Official merchandise for the film confirms the involvement of certain other spider-themed heroes, including Spider-Punk and the Scarlet Spider.
