Nightwing is celebrating his 100th issue with a super-sized special featuring a wide range of talent from past and present.
Following the debut of multiple covers for the centennial issue, including special variants honoring the creator of Dick Grayson's first non-Robin costume, the late George Pérez, CBR has the exclusive reveal of the solicitation for DC's Nightwing #100. Written by Tom Taylor, the issue features a main story illustrated by the series' regular artist Bruno Redondo, while welcoming back Rick Leonardi, Scott McDaniel, Mikel Janin and Javier Fernandez, all of whom have put their own stamp on Dick Grayson. CBR can also debut Redondo's acetate variant cover for Nightwing #100, which features both a masked and unmasked Dick alongside Barbara Gordon/Batgirl.

Honoring the Legacy of Dick Grayson
Leonardi and McDaniel both illustrated Nightwing's long-running solo series of the '90s, which kicked off in 1996 and ran until 2009 for a total of 155 issues. The series introduced a number of concepts that have since been brought back into modern continuity by Taylor, including Nightwing's home base of Blüdhaven. Janin illustrated Dick's spy career as an Agent of Spyral in the Grayson series that ran from 2014 to 2016, while Fernandez chronicled the hero's adventures when he returned to the Nightwing identity in a new series at the onset of DC's Rebirth initiative in 2016.

Nightwing #100 teases new developments for Dick as he celebrates the past while moving toward the future. Issue #96 recently saw Dick and Barbara Gordon pledge their love for each other after defeating Blockbuster, the gangster head of Blüdhaven who has been a threat since the days of Nightwing's first long-running solo series. Blockbuster was seemingly murdered by the serial killer Heartless in the issue's final pages, paving the way for a new criminal to rise up in the Haven, as teased in the solicit for Nightwing #100.
