Rumors Claim Matt Lauer Is Struggling To Live A Simpler Life Following His Scandal Because He’s Used To Living It Up
Matt Lauer is allegedly struggling to lead a simpler life because he’s so used to living it up before his scandal.
A source told Life & Style that Lauer was forced to make huge adjustments to his lifestyle because he doesn’t have a steady source of income anymore.
“Matt was used to living it up. But he has been forced to drastically curb his spending. The days of throwing money away on private jets and expensive bottles of champagne for the whole restaurant are over. Matt is much more low-key these days because he has to be,” the source said.
Other than the fact that he doesn’t have a steady source of income coming in, Lauer was also forced to pay his ex-wife $50 million in settlement following his scandal.
The former talk show host is also estranged from his children, which makes his life more unbearable.
“They don’t really talk. If they happen to run into each other randomly, they’re civil. Still, Annette has no time for Matt. Ninety-nine percent of Matt’s friends dropped him after all the unsavory allegations came out and he is blacklisted in Hollywood,” the source said.
As of late, there are rumors that Lauer could be busy writing a book. But nothing has been finalized yet so he can’t really rely on this as his main source of income.
“There’s an ongoing book deal he’s been talking about, but the question is: Will anyone buy it? It would have been a story of redemption,” the source said.
But there’s one upside to Lauer’s life right now and it’s his relationship. According to the source, Lauer sees a future with his girlfriend and wants to settle down with her soon.
However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. Even though it’s true that Lauer’s finances were affected by the scandal that he was involved in, there’s no indication that he’s struggling financially.
Lauer still seems to be doing well and it’s highly likely that him to have already found another source of income.
At the end of the day, it is important to note that Lauer could also indeed be releasing a book. But his supporters need to wait and see if this will really push through.
